Anne Graham Lotz – Jesus In Me: Her New Book

JESUS IN ME: Experiencing the Holy Spirit as a Constant Companion – I got my book early and was so glad I did.

In this day of depression, confusion, & ungodly influences we need hope. Anne Graham Lotz has shared her personal experiences and has shown where that hope comes from. She shares how she received strength, hope, love, & guidance through the Person of the Holy Spirit.

She shows that a daily walk and personal relationship with Jesus helps us to develop and maintain our faith. Our first step is to receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Then allowing the Holy Spirit to come along side us to be our helper.

God has used Anne through this book to show that there is hope and that once you make that commitment to Christ you will not be left alone.

John 14:26-27 New International Version (NIV)

But the Advocate, The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

As Anne writes, “One of my deepest, richest joys has been discovering by experience who the Holy Spirit is in every step of my life’s journey. Each name that He has been given—Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener, and Standby—reveals another aspect of His beautiful character and has provoked in me a deep love for the One who is my constant Companion . . . Jesus in me.”

This book will revolutionize your relationship with The Holy Spirit. I love the tools she put at the end of the book. Appendix A: Learning how to hear the Holy Spirit’s Whispers when you read the Bible. Appendix B: Learning how to be filled and stay filled with The Holy Spirit. Appendix C: A self-examination of personal sin. Appendix D: Gifts of the Spirit.

A Camp with Kingdom Impact -Thomas Road Outpost

(Picture taken from the camp)

IMG_7739.jpg

This October we were blessed with a tour of the Thomas Road Outpost Camp. This was very excited because we live in Northern Michigan and the Camp is in Lynchburg, VA and we have been giving to this project.

Before I tell you about the camp, I want to share about my camping experience. I don’t remember how old I was, but I was old enough that it made an impact on my life. But this impact was not a Kingdom impact. I was so excited to be going on this camping trip with my friends. I had some really close friends that we did everything together and this was going to be the best time, so I thought. We were going to go canoe on the Au Sable River in Michigan.

To keep this story short I will just hit the highlights. I had a leader who didn’t look out for us, instead he brought drugs to give us. Not really understanding the impact this was going to have on me, wanting to be a part of the gang, I participated. Little did I know he also had other intentions. This was horrifying and even as I write this I can’t even think of the details, even though I have been set free from my past, I have no use in giving those events another look except to use it as a stepping stone to tell you that experience was no “Kingdom Impact”. There are many children who need to be rescued from the chance of having that same experience.

That is one reason I am passionate about this camp. My husband is the other. He had a vision many years ago about a place like Thomas Road Outpost Camp. One that would give so many a great outdoor experience and reach them for the Gospel. When we visited the camp in October we took a four wheeler to the top of the mountain. Along the way we saw the cabins that are being built, the zip line area, the place they will be having outdoor survival activities, and so much more.

Thomas Road Baptist Church has been involved in camping programs for over fifty years. In March 2014 they were given 500-acre parcel of land in the midst of the Blue Ridge Parkway’s Peaks of Otter Region. It was donated to be repurposed as a youth camp with the emphasis of reaching at-rist youth from Virginia and the surrounding areas.  They also will be having Marriage seminars and other events.

Their focus is to reach thousand of children each year through Christ-centered camping experience in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. This is a place that children can leave the pressures and distractions of modern life behind and just be kids. They will experience camp life, have fun, but will be given hope and love. TRO encourages campers toward a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Each year they receive thousands of requests from the area but are unable to house them due to the limited space. They have the potential to reach so many with The Gospel of Jesus, bringing hope and healing to them. So that is why I am writing this post. I am reaching out to whoever reads this to please consider giving to this worth while project. Help TRO make that “Kingdom Impact” to as many as possible. You can help change a life.

“SHOULDERS” By For King & Country

At first it was hard to watch this video. I almost shut it off. BUT THEN, the 2nd half really touched my heart. The Bible says:

John 16:33 …I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

God loves us so much that He has provided a way for us… We may experience things in life, BUT God is BIGGER than those things.

He says come to Him…. Everyone…. ALL & He WILL give you rest.

Matthew 11:28-30King James Version (KJV)

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

He has BIG shoulders. He is BIGGER than sickness. He is BIGGER than loss. He is BIGGER than weakness. He carries all on His SHOULDERS….

image

This is part of the Chorus…
[Chorus:]
My help comes from You
You’re right here, pulling me through
You carry my weakness, my sickness, my brokenness all on Your shoulders
Your shoulders
My help comes from You
You are my rest, my rescue
I don’t have to see to believe that You’re lifting me up on Your shoulders

EVEN WHEN WE DON’T SEE HIM, HE IS NEAR…. And one TOUCH from The Master, can change your world…. THE ONLY HOPE this world has is that special touch!

image image image

More from the song…

When I’m caught deep in the valley
With chaos for my company
I’ll find my comfort here
‘Cause I know that You are near

From Joel & Luke about the video….

When it came to creating a music video for “SHOULDERS,” we knew that it had to carry as much personal and spiritual meaning as the song! We partnered once again with moviemaker and brother, Ben Smallbone (The Proof of Your Love | The Music Video) to write and produce this theatrical and heartfelt piece. After months of writing and rewriting the story, over two days of filming and countless hours refining, we’re more than thrilled to present to you the music video for our song “SHOULDERS!”

Crowder – “Come As You Are” | Live at the Grand Ole Opry | Opry

10387249_10152249854058451_6715598807766699552_n

BE LIFTED UP TODAY…. COME AS YOU ARE….YOU WILL NOT LEAVE THE SAME

Come out of sadness
From wherever you’ve been
Come broken hearted
Let rescue begin
Come find your mercy
Oh sinner come kneel
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t heal
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t heal

So lay down your burdens
Lay down your shame
All who are broken
Lift up your face
Oh wanderer come home
You’re not too far
So lay down your hurt
Lay down your heart
Come as you are

There’s hope for the hopeless
And all those who’ve strayed
Come sit at the table
Come taste the grace
There’s rest for the weary
Rest that endures
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t cure

So lay down your burdens
Lay down your shame
All who are broken
Lift up your face
Oh wanderer come home
You’re not too far
So lay down your hurt
Lay down your heart
Come as you are
Come as you are
Fall in his arms
Come as you are
There’s joy for the morning
Oh sinner be still
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t heal
Earth has no sorrow
That heaven can’t heal

So lay down your burdens
Lay down your shame
All who are broken
Lift up your face
Oh wanderer come home
You’re not too far
So lay down your hurt
Lay down your heart
Come as you are
Come as you are
Come as you are

“MORE JESUS” More Than a Movement – THE ONLY ANSWER

More Jesus

More Jesus was birthed from 2 sisters that heard their Pastor, Dave Standfest, say: “Victory comes from living a Spirit-filled life, and if you want more love and joy in your life, then you need more Jesus.”

Jennifer Stoll & Lara Snowden took that to heart, “MORE JESUS”, that is the answer to everything.

They started responding to that message by responding to whatever life would send them with, “MORE JESUS”. That is the answer to the World….MORE JESUS.

He is the only answer. The only way to true peace, true life, & is the only power to change a life.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

This message kept growing in their hearts. They were so touched by what their Pastor spoke that day, that they made a bumper sticker that simply says, “MORE JESUS”

Then God moved on a local radio station, WLJN to get involved. Then God took over and it began to grow. Oh what God will do with willing men & women who will be obedient to His moving.

God moved on Jennifer heart to write a song called, MORE JESUS. She doesn’t have any musical background and insisted a friends help. Brian Whitscell, a worship leader was honored and moved & prayed “Lord, let me be part of making incredible music that will bless the world.” By the end of that day God gave him the song, “MORE JESUS”

Wow what a song it is. It is played on radio stations across the country and their are so many testimonies of how God is using that song to touch peoples lives.

There are other songs that have been birthed out of this movement, my favorite one is “HEAL ME” & “LIKE YOU”.

Jesus is the answer to everything you need. Healing, Peace, Joy, and so much more. Not only is He the answer for us, but once we have received from Him, He wants us to share Him with others. We can do that by every act of kindness, every kind word, and by letting the Holy Spirit led us as we walk this life everyday to reach out beyond ourselves.

By sharing this, the only answer, THE WAY, THE TRUTH, & THE LIFE = JESUS…. We all need “MORE JESUS”…

Their mission is simple: To share the good news of Jesus Christ and to spread His message.

He is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him.

Everyone needs more Jesus!

Blood on The Altar – WE WILL NOT BOW

This song was written for & about my husband Len, but I dedicate it to all those who Minister the Gospel. They put so much of their life into proclaiming the gospel. They put others first and will not Bow to this world.

Romans 10:15J.B. Phillips New Testament (PHILLIPS)

Can we offer the excuse of ignorance on Israel’s behalf?
14-15 Now how can they call on one in whom they have never believed? How can they believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how can they hear unless someone proclaims him? And who will go to tell them unless he is sent? As the scripture puts it: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!’

This song was written about Len Paxton by Key Of David ; performed by Key of David…. Video by Angie Paxton Used with permission…

No Man is an Island? – Tenth Avenue North

Tenth Avenue North

In this day of technology you would think that we would be more connected. But because of the technology we are an island unto ourselves. yes we share our thoughts on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media, but do we really connect with our brothers and sisters in the Lord.

image

Do we ever just pick up the phone to talk, go visit a loved one, visit a sick friend, or just hang out. Don’t get me wrong it is good to post a smile, a picture, or encouraging word on somebody’s Facebook page. But we need human contact. God made us to help one another, to be a friend to one another, and to just be there for each other.

That’s why it says in the last days, forsake not the assembling of ourselves together. God knows that we need one another to get through this dark world.

No matter who you are, you touch somebody else’s life. You may not even know the person next to you who is watching every move that you make, but you have an impact on their lives nevertheless.

Deuteronomy 20:8?…And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren’s heart faint as well as his heart.

This scripture shows just how much influence one man has on another…. Those who were fearful & faint hearted had to return to their Homes or they would have influenced others and the battle could have been lost…. I am not saying anyone should turn back if they are fearful, but just saying how we influence one another.

We resently had the opportunity to see Tenth Avenue North & this song made me start thinking how we really are in this life together. Our actions can be for good or for evil, we must choose…Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue…. CHOOSE LIFE….

No Man Is An Island
Tenth Avenue North

I won’t run, I will stay
I’m not leaving you
I know there’s friction here
The struggle makes us new

I wish you never thought you had to go
Wish you never thought you had to leave
Together we can lift each other up
We can build a shelter for the weak

No man is an island, we can be found
No man is an island, let your guard down
You don’t have to fight me, I am for you
We’re not meant to live this life alone

I see fear in your eyes
There’s no safety here
Oh, my friend, let me in
I will share your tears

I wish you never thought you had to go
I wish you never thought you had to leave
We can always lift each other up
We can build a shelter for the weak, come on

No man is an island, we can be found
No man is an island, let your guard down
Please don’t try to fight me, I am for you
We’re not meant to live this life alone

Through trouble, rain, or fire
Let’s reach out to something higher
Ain’t no life outside each other
We are not alone
Through trouble, rain, or fire
Let’s reach out to something higher
Eyes open to one another
We are not alone

No man is alone
Why you try to fight me
We don’t have to do it alone
We don’t have to do it alone
We don’t have to do it alone
