Let’s all be like those who have gone before us, & as Dr Sumrall said say “I Did Not Quit”… (Be not weary… Think it not strange that there is trials) DO NOT QUIT

This is the day that The Lord has made, I will rejoice & be glad in it… Enjoy your day…



The TV taping is going great. The theme is starting to come together as the Lord leds my husband… Sharing your faith is the one that stands out the most. The new life God has given you flowing out to those around you. Next it has been Faith & Hope. Faith to believe all of God’s promises & hope in His soon returning to get His children. I love when God brings His word together.

There are many roads in life. Rule #11 get lost on purpose. We do that when we travel & we find many special places. Here is one..our little piece of heaven.

We had a special day with family. Touring the town of Lexington,VMI, & more. Great day…


I woke up this morning with a Peter Furler song in my head, “We won’t forget…” We won’t forget the price that was paid.. We have been visiting the graves of some relatives & those who fought in the different wars,

As we walk around ready the tombstones & learn their stories we remember the price that was paid in building this country. As we remember them we honor their memory and service. They may have fought in war to help this country be free or they may have worked hard plowing the ground for their families and for generation to come.

I feel pride for this country as I learn about these men & women. We always want to take time to remember the price that was paid. It’s important to pass on this to the next generation or their life work would have been in vain. All it took for them to make this country great would all be lost. The schools have been changing the history books It is important we do all we can to bring the real history alive.



We are to give honor to those who have gone before us.

Romans 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Many died in faith and are cheering us on… DO NOT QUIT…

Hebrews 11:39-12:2

11:39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40 since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. Took a day off of TV taping & had a family day. Giving God the glory for all he has done through us & for us.


Make time today for a quiet moment to sit before the Lord. Allow Him to provide the strength and rest you need. While doing this, ask Him to reveal to you any areas of your life in which you are “striving” needlessly. He longs to provide peace and rest for His children. – Charles Stanley

Stonewall Jackson – “You may be whatever you resolve to be.” This statement was backed up by his faith in God alone. He recognized that God was the reason for any success he had. He was humble and had unshakable faith. He had pertinence and determination to overcome all of life’s obstacles through his faith in God.

As Christians we all experience challenges & difficulties, however we need to remember the promises of God which remind us that it will be worth it all in the end.

Let us remember all those who have went before us and they trusted God and lived by this scripture, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens
me” (Philippians 4:13).

President Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee & so many others, knew the power of prayer. They all would wait patiently for God’s wisdom. They would live their lives knowing & walking with God & giving God Glory…

Psalm 12:6 The words and promises of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times over.

God’s word & promises are pure. His desire is to fulfill His promises in & through us.

We are also to have prayers of thanksgiving.

Psalm 107:1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever…

I love the fact that each morning is new and we can be refreshed in God’s Love, Grace, & Mercy.

Slow down and be silent in God’s presence today.

So many times we settle for mediocrity in our lives. Barely adequate, run of the mill… Neither good nor bad….We except less than we should.

Others hold us back & we hold ourselves back . We make excuses to why we can’t do something. Let’s make a point of it everyday to strive to walk out God’s plan for our lives. Let’s live on purpose… Let’s make plans to be the overcoming Christians God made us to be. image



It’s really a matter of faith. God would never ask you to do something without empowering you to accomplish it. This doesn’t necessarily mean you will do it perfectly, but each step of obedience is a victory. The alternative is to play it safe, but then you’ll miss out on God’s best for your life.

LeSea Global FTH – Feeding God’s Children around The World

LeSEA Global Feed The Hungry

LeSea Global Feed The Hungry was started by Dr. Lester Sumrall in 1987. He was responding to God’s challenge, “that my church in the third world does not die of hunger before I return.

They feed more than 92 nations around the world with over 2,000,000 pounds of food and supplies.

They respond to emergencies with food and relief during disasters around the world and in the United States.


Not just another feeding program. They only work with pastors to ensure the food & supplies get to the people who really need it. They work by connecting with local pastors who in turn distribute the food and supplies to their area.

We experience this when my husband called LeSea FTH and ask them for help for a church in Baxter Springs, Kansas, they sent a truck load right away. Wow what a great ministry.

$.93 of every dollar given goes right to the program services. Not only do they feed the hungry but they share the hope of Jesus Christ. Dr. Sumrall’s vision was to reach 1 million souls for Christ. He had a passion for sharing the word of God & the Love of God with as many people as possible. He was a pioneer in TV. He knew that was going to be a big way he was going to reach that million. But he didn’t stop there, he answered the call to, “Go into all the world & preach the Gospel.” Take time to check their website out and pray about giving to this good cause.

The Traverse City Cherry Festival & The Blue Angels

Make plans to come this year to The Traverse City Cherry Festival.

Join us July 5 – 12, 2014

Traverse City & the area around is know for it’s Cherries. Every type of a Cherry dish you can think of. My favorite, Cherry Pie with whip cream. Right along the bay you will find more than 150 events. There is something for everyone of all ages. This is truly a family event.

This event started around 1910 in an informal way, “blessing of the blossoms”.

In 1926, Hawkins Bakery in Traverse City baked a huge cherry pie and presented it to U.S. President Calvin Coolidge. The pie, being three feet in diameter and containing more than 5,000 cherries, had to be loaded into a car through the windshield and into the back seat. (Taken from their website)

There was many stages of the event & it changed in many ways.

The National Cherry Festival was suspended during the World War II (1942-47), but it has been held continuously every year since. 1946 was considered too soon after the War, and in 1947 Traverse City celebrated its Centennial; so the National Cherry Festival was postponed until 1948. The National Cherry Festival set a world record by baking the world’s largest cherry pie on July 25, 1987. The pie was 17 ft 6 in and weighed in at 28,350 pounds. (Taken from their website)

U.S. Navy Blue Angels take to the Skies July 4, 5 and 6.

The Blue Angels started in Jacksonville, FL on June 15, 1946. Their mission is to increase the pride that American people have for the Untied States Navy. They inspire men & women to serve their country.

Each member of the Blue Angels volunteer for duty. They feel it is an honor to be a part of this team. I sure enjoy watching them perform all the tricks. They are so close together as they go right over the water, it’s so cool. I love the sound of FREEDOM as they go over our heads. Make plans today….

Lest We Forget – Memorial Day

Freedom Isn't Free

Memorial Day is a day for us all to remember those who died while serving in the United State Armed Forces. It was named Decoration Day & started after the Civil War to commemorate the Union & Confederate Soldiers who died in the Civil War.

By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died while in the military service.

One way we honor our men & women is to put an American flag on each grave in national cemeteries & cemeteries around the world.


Memorial Day is not to be confused with Veterans Day; Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving, while Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans.

Some are celebrating this day with a picnic or a barbecue. Some businesses cut their prices on their products. Not all Americans are celebrating this holiday with such spirited enthusiasm. Some families are staring at a flag that flies at half-staff with tears in their eyes. So let’s take a moment out of the celebrations to reflect on the true meaning do Memorial Day, and all the sacrifices that our military personal has made for us all.

I love our military. They sacrifice so much to keep this country FREE. I just want to say THANK YOU to all the family members of all the fallen soldiers. Your support allowed them to go and help make this country safe. God bless you all.

I love this song. I have made it my ringtone so when my children call me it plays and I begin to pray for them.


Steal Their Hearts – We all have someone we could pray for. This movement focuses mostly on the children. It encourage us all to set aside time to pray for the children in our lives. It may be your child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or a friend child, or just a child you have met.

This ministry is a part of The Neverclaim, a worship band from Portland, Oregon. I met a women the other day who was so excited to have a job who influence children. We talked about all types of children who just need someone who believes in them & need a little encouragement in live. Life is hard enough, but when you don’t have someone who believes in you it can be harder. Also, Junior high is hard enough when you have a good family and we need to be that influence to each child during these hard years. We all have an opportunity to inspire a young person to walk with God. There is so many things in life pulling our children’s hearts, we need to be a stronger pull than the what the world has to offer.

Praying for them is the best way we can help them. But don’t stop their, let your prayers become actions. A smile can go along way. An encouraging word can change a life. The women I was talking to told me about a story of a young girl that was in a foster home and how the people who she has known in the past would discourage her from doing anything because they didn’t believe she could accomplish anything. So she didn’t. What a sad story. People are influenced from a very young age for success or failure. We can overcome that through Christ, but unless He “Steals their Heart”, this will not be possible.

Other ways to help them is to give them a bible, a music CD, a Book, money, or anything the Lord puts in your hearts.

Let’s all come together with our prayers & resources to reach a generation for God.

Show them your Love, open their eyes to the depths of it. Show them that you love them not as the world loves, but a kind of Love that can only come from a Holy God!

Reveal to them what that means to them. Show them why that means so much. Help them to be persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate them from your love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Your love is so deep that your Son dies so they could live and He is at your right hand interceding for them. Wow, open their understanding to this truth. You are the only one that will not leave them nor forsake them. Love them today and reveal that love to them.

Strengthen them in their inner man, Oh Lord. Dwell in my heart and theirs. Help them to comprehend what is the breadth, length, depth, and height of your love. Fill them with the fulness of you.

Show them that you are love. That your love is perfect and perfect love cast out fear and that you loved them 1st!

Give them a heart to know you!

God your love is so deep and unless you open their eyes and reveal it to them they will stay in darkness. Bring them out of darkness into your marvelous light. Your deep love!

Lord I know you see their heart and you can soften their heart to the truth. Penetrate the walls and soften their heart for you.

I pray for them because I love them, but my love is limited. Your love is limitless. Show them that you love them with an intense love.

On The Road With Len & Angie – The Civil War

Civil War

Soon we will be going back to Gettysburg, PA., Lexington, VA, & other Civil War Sites. These are places we love to visit. Just to see all the things that the soldiers went through as they fought this civil war & the history of this country is very special.

Part of what we do is to bring spiritual lessons and leadership lessons together. We show that leaders prayed before battles, pray for direction, prayed for each other and their family. They took time to seek God for matters of their daily life and the war.

Leaders not only looked to God for themselves they also shared their faith with their fellow soldiers.

The Civil war was a time of unrest, division, and pain. As Christians we sometimes experience this today. So it’s good for us to look back and learn lessons from those who knew how to seek God.

When you look at the average age of the soldiers they were very young. Many were a long way from home and from their family. This was a very challenging time for everybody. Loneliness, hunger , discouragement, and so many other challenges is what they faced each day.

They learned that trusting God was the only way that they were going to get through the war. As today we need to fight the good fight of faith and make it to the end.

We need to encourage one another. We need to pick one another up when we see them fall. Out of all the documentaries that I have watch throughout the years this was one of the things that I seen the most, men and women helping each other through the pains of life.

On The Road With Len & Angie – Tulip Festival May 9, 2014



Tulip Time

Holland Michigan is well known for their Tulip Festival. This year we went there for my husband’s Birthday. As we started our trip is started to rain. Rain & driving don’t go well. It’s about 2 1/2 hours from our home. Thank God by the time we got there the rain left & the sun came out. It was like a new day.

We went to the NELIS’ DUTCH VILLAGE when we first got there. This farm started in 1958. There is a lot of History about this farm… For more information Click Here

One of our favorite places to go in Traverse City, MI is The Grand Traverse Commons. It used to be The Traverse City State Hospital – Northern Michigan Asylum.

Information from their website:

Adam’s Road is a Non-Profit Music Ministry who dedicates themselves to sharing Jesus Christ through music & what God has done in their lives. Sharing The Gospel is first in their ministry. The band members all were at one time very involved in the Mormon religion. But Praise God through God’s Grace they have come to know the truth of Biblical Christianity and what Jesus Christ did for them. They left religion for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

“In light of our personal backgrounds and testimonies, we have a great love and dedication to reaching out to all who are trapped in the bondage of man-made religion: those are working for their salvation instead of relying completely on the grace given by Jesus through the blood He shed on the Cross (Eph. 1:7). We have a heart in particular for the Mormon people, who are burdened by a system of laws and works that will never save them (Gal. 2:16; Rom. 4:4-5). We seek to share with them the freedom that is in Christ’s grace (John 8:31-32). Along with reaching out to those trapped in religion, we reach out to all unsaved people with the Good News of Christ Jesus.

They do not sell their music, but give it away for FREE…
