I’m Alive: Jeremy Camp

I'm Alive

I was watching this video this morning and it really inspired me. Jeremy Camp inspires me. Click here

Jeremy Camp has a story like many Christians. One of struggles and victory.

Jeremy Camp and his first wife, Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp, were married on October 21, 2000. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and died on February 5, 2001, when he was 23 and she was 21. Some of his early songs reflect the emotional ordeal of her illness. “I Still Believe” was the first song he wrote after her death. “Walk By Faith” was written during their honeymoon.(Wikipedia)

Jeremy talks about his struggles through this and many other events in his life. He always comes back to his faith in God and encourages others to do the same.

Outlined in his book entitled I Still Believe: Discovering Hope and Healing in the Midst of Life’s Deepest Valleys, Jeremy discusses how the loss of his wife impacted him, and also how his faith has grown and impacted his music over the last ten years.

“If my heart’s not breaking for the lost, I won’t come across the way I need to,” Jeremy says on his official website. “I’ve given up on making this life my home…I don’t want my messy handprints all over this.”

Jeremy has another ministry: “Speaking Louder Ministries”

His mission at SLM is evangelism for the lost, encouraging the brokenhearted and equipping followers of Christ. His goal is to go far beyond the single “event” and he prays for an impact that is long-lasting. He wants the message of Christ to reach every corner of the world and to reach out to the lost and the hurting with the good news of the gospel.

Jeremy donates his time, talents, and his own financial resources and does not take anything from this ministry.

Jeremy follows:
MARK 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

This quote from Jeremy says it all…

“With “fire in our bones” and absolute surrender in our hearts, we are writing it down in order that others may read it and run with us in it. We pray that we will all have a greater burden for those who are lost and we invite you to join your voices and hearts with ours in “speaking louder”.”

He uses his music as a ministry to help others. Over the years he has inspired me.

Thanks Jeremy….
